The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) called Thusrday for using the UN report on the violation of the humanitarian law by Israel during its attack on the Gaza Strip in supporting the international campaign aimed at bringing Israeli military and civil leaders who committed war crimes and crimes against humanity before international courts. The UN report released yesterday stated that Israel violated the international humanitarian law during its assault on the Gaza Strip last winter. The report which was drawn up by the Fact Finding Mission made up of four international experts and headed by South African Justice Richard Goldstone, former Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda, concluded that the Israeli military operation which began on December 27, 2008 "was directed at the people of Gaza as a whole". It also condemned the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip. --MORE
