Fiat and Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne says the new auto alliance can reach a production of 5.5 million to 6 million cars a year. Marchionne told reporters at the Frankfurt Auto Show that key figure can be reached once the global economic crisis eases. He considers 6 million cars a year critical for an automaker's survival, according to a report of The Associated Press. Marchionne said Wednesday that Chrysler's new business plan won't be released until November, and declined to discuss the forthcoming model lineup.
