Iran's ex-president Mohammad Khatami on Sunday accused the administration of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of adopting a fascist approach, dpa quoted the labour news agency ILNA as reporting. "Today some adopt a fascist and totalitarian approach and forcefully want to push people towards a path which they consider as prosperous," Khatami said in a meeting with academics in Tehran. Khatami forms together with ex-premier Mir-Hossein Moussavi, former parliament speaker Mehdi Karroubi and ex-president Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani the opposition quartet against Ahmadinejad. The four have accused the president and the government of fraud in the June 12 presidential election and therefore not yet acknowledged Ahmadinejad's re-election. On Saturday, Moussavi accused Ahmadinejad of misusing Islam, saying that "Islam is frequently referred to but seldom followed." -- SPA
