High-ranking members of the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas began arriving in Egypt today for a continuation of consultations to revive inter-Palestinian dialogue, dpa reported. A delegation headed by senior Gaza Strip Hamas leader Kahlil al-Hayya arrived in Cairo on Thursday to hold talks with senior Egyptian officials. Another Hamas delegation led from Syria by Khaled Mashaal, Hamas' politburo chief, is to arrive in Egypt on Saturday. Ayman Taha, Hamas spokesman in Gaza, told reporters that Hamas leaders will hold talks with senior Egyptian security intelligence officials, adding "they will prepare for the coming round of dialogue with the Fatah movement."
