Members of the General Assembly of Sports Federation of Islamic solidarity and Chairmen of Olympic Committees in the Islamic world have nominated by acclamation Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, General President of Youth Welfare as Chairman of the Federation's Board of Directors for a four-year term from 2009-2013. On his part, Prince Sultan bin Fahd assigned Vice General President of Youth Welfare Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz as the Board's Executive Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Federation's Executive Office. This decision was welcomed by members of the General Assembly of the Sports Federation of Islamic solidarity. The nomination and assignment came during the Assembly's 6th meeting that concluded in Riyadh last night. In a press statement, Prince Sultan bin Fahd expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, and Second Deputy Premier for the Kingdom's hosting of this meeting which had a great impact on the success of its works. On his part, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd expressed his thanks to and appreciation of Prince Sultan bin Fahd for his great trust in assigning him as the Board's Executive Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Federation's Executive Office.
