Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, the Acting Governor of Riyadh Region patronized here on Saturday evening the annual ceremony of Charitable Society for Memorization of the Holy Quran in Riyadh Region. The ceremony was attended by the Kingdom's General Mufti and Chairman of Senior Scholar Council and Department of Scholarly Research and Ifta Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh. Addressing the ceremony, Prince Sattam said, "On behalf of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region, I am pleased to be present among you to honor memorizers of the Holy Quran. The Society has been in the forefront of other societies in our country. It has won many awards at local and international contests". Then, a fund-raising session was held. One million Saudi riyals was contributed by Prince Salman and another one million on behalf of his sons and grandsons. The ceremony was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, scholars and senior officials.
