Saudi Arabia participated in an eight-day International Scientific Olympiad for Informatics, which concluded on August 15 in Bulgarian city of Bluff. The delegation of Saudi Arabia was comprised of Dr. Ahmed bin Yazid Al-Masa'd from King Saud University in Riyadh and Mohammed bin Said Barziq, Supervisor General of Scientific Activities at the Ministry of Education. The Director General of Student Activities at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Nasser Al-Garni said that the Kingdom's participation came as part of preparations for attending the 22nd International Informatics Olympiad in Canada next year.
