A 56-year-old South Korean man who returned from a visit to Thailand has died from the H1N1 flu virus, becoming the country's first fatality from the disease, health authorities said on Saturday. The H1N1 flu outbreak, declared a pandemic in June, has spread around the world and could eventually affect 2 billion people, according to World Health Organization estimates. South Korea has so far confirmed 2,032 cases of flu reports and some 1,600 of them are fully recovered. The virus has killed more than 800 people worldwide since emerging in April, Reuters reported.
