Saudi Newspapers commented in their editorials today on a number of issues at local, Arab and international arenas particularly the King's directive to treat swine flu cases freely as well as the situation in Yemen. Al-Madinah, Al-Nadwah and Al-Bilad highlighted the directive issued on Thursday by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to all governmental and private hospitals for treating swine flu cases of citizens, residents and Umrah performers and providing them with necessary health care at the state's own expenses. The papers stressed that this directive reflects the great attention paid by the King to the health of citizens, residents and visitors and the necessity for providing them with the required health care. The papers pointed out that as swine flu has become a world pandemic spreading rapidly, health authorities have prepared for it in proportion to its size and rapid spread, adding that early preparations for Hajj have been made to deal with all latest developments of this disease. The papers noted the King's directive is considered as an important step to curb the disease by removing all the financial burdens from patients to speed up their treatment of the disease immediately, indicating that this is one of generous gestures which the King has accustomed to provide for citizens and all peoples of Muslim nations. --More
