Denmark's central bank Thursday lowered its lending rate by 0.10 percentage points to 1.45 per cent. The rate cut was effective as of August 14, the central bank said, adding it came after foreign exchange purchases in the market. Denmark is a member of the European Union, but not a member of the eurozone. The central bank said the discount rate and the current account rate would also be lowered by 10 basis points to 1.10 per cent.
