U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton told a U.S.-Africa trade meeting on Wednesday that business and trade in Africa cannot grow without 'responsible' governments. Hillary Clinton is in Kenya on the first leg of a seven-nation tour of Africa. The delegates in Kenya are reviewing the impact of the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act, or AGOA, a U.S. trade law aimed at increasing U.S. imports of African products. «True economic progress in Africa will depend on responsible governments that reject corruption, enforce the rule of law and deliver results for their people,» Clinton told the meeting. «This is not just about good governance _ it's also about good business,» she was quoted as saying by The Associated Press. From Kenya, Hillary Clinton will travel to South Africa, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Liberia and Cape Verde.
