The U.S. Acting Chargé D'affaires to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Richard Erdman has stressed strong economic relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States of America for many decades that contributed to increasing the volume of trade balance between the two countries. Erdman's remarks came during a meeting here on Saturday with Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Executive body members of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abha. In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Chamber's Chairman Eng. Abdullah Al-Mubti pointed out that Erdman's visit to the Chamber was aimed at exchanging views on a number of developmental topics in the region including opportunities for cooperation and investment between the two countries, improvement and strengthening of economic relations between Saudi and U.S. businessmen in the region. He disclosed that a file containing a number of investment opportunities was submitted to U.S. businessmen during their visit to the region, noting that the visit was aimed at creating a mechanism for bringing together U.S. and Saudi companies in Asir region especially small and medium enterprises.
