A delegation of Saudi students and professionals will visit South Korea as part of a youth program that aims to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and South Korea. A South Korean youth delegation visited the Kingdom from April 29 to May 8 this year. The South Korean Embassy in Riyadh said that a comprehensive plan has been prepared to acquaint the visiting Saudi delegation with the history, culture, and society of South Korea, as well as the commercial, industrial and economic environment of the country. The delegation will visit the Arab-South Korean Society, Arab-Islamic Cultural Center, Samsung Electronics Factory and the wind energy station, and it will take part in various cultural activities. Hong Yong Ki, the South Korean ambassador to the Kingdom, briefed the delegation on the goals of the exchange program and urged the delegation to play a role in strengthening Saudi- South Korean relations, OKAZ Arabic newspaper reported. Saudi student Majed Al-Ghazal, a member of the delegation, thanked the governments of the Kingdom and South Korea for organizing the program, and said that he was looking forward to the visit to South Korea especially as it would enable him to realize his dream of learning more about East Asia.
