A British Muslim delegation led by Sir Iqbal Sacranie, Chairman of Muslim Aid, has visited the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), accompanied by members of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB). During the visit, the delegation held informal talks with OIC officials in a cordial atmosphere on best means of improving interaction between the OIC and the above mentioned organizations. The two sides agreed on the necessity to tackle the phenomenon of discrimination and intolerance against Muslims through more constructive engagement and by fostering understanding and tolerance among communities and globally, according to a latest press release of the OIC. Possibilities of cooperation in humanitarian actions and socio-economic development projects in conflict areas and in Least Developed Countries in the Muslim world were also examined.
