17 die as monsoon rains hit Bangladesh and Nepal

Torrential rain flooded parts of
the Bangladesh capital on Tuesday and police said five people,
mostly children, were drowned or electrocuted in swamped homes.
At least 12 people were killed in floods and landslides
triggered by monsoon rains in Nepal, a senior home ministry
official was quoted as saying by Reuters.
