H1N1 flu cases officially confirmed in Russia

Nine A/H1N1 flu cases have been officially confirmed in Russia, Itar-Tass quoted Chief Sanitary Inspector Gennady Onishchenko as saying today.
However, there are also some cases of suspected A/H1N1 flu, he said. Several patients are undergoing medical tests, and the first test has confirmed the disease. “The final diagnosis will come within the next two days,” he stressed.
According to Onishchenko, four suspected A/H1N1 cases are registered in Moscow, one in Tomsk (Siberia) and one more in Perm (Siberia).
Final results on five cases will be announced by the end of Monday. Onishchenko also stressed that all A/H1N1 flu cases that have been registered in Russia, were imported.
