French President Nicolas Sarkozy will meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at a working lunch Friday for wide-ranging discussion on global issues, according to dpa. The meeting comes after the G8 summit in L'Aquila, Italy, and several weeks before the United Nations General Assembly and G20 meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Talks between Ban and Sarkozy will range from climate change and the reform of world organizations to peacekeeping operations, and will take place at the French consulate in New York.
