Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) Dr Abdullah Bin Abdul-Mohsin Al-Turki visited here today the Islamic Center. He was welcomed by the Center's Director General Dr Farid Khotani and a number of imams of mosques and Islamic callers. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Al-Turki urged the imams to perform their mission taking into account the circumstances of the societies they are living in. Underlining the importance of adherence to the Holy Quran and Sunnah (the Prophet's teachings), he said the MWL has been giving big attention to those who work at the Islamic centers throughout the world because they represent the Muslims and hold high the banner of Islam. The Islamic center includes a mosque, a school for Arabic language and Islamic studies in addition to a kindergarten. It is worth mentioning that the Islamic center and its mosque were built under the patronage of King Faisal. The center was officially inaugurated in 1979. The center receives persons who opt for embracing Islam and providing them with the required cultural materials.
