The world's richest powers and biggest polluters agreed Thursday that climate change should be limited to 2 degrees centigrade to prevent catastrophic global warming, diplomats at a summit in Italy said, according to dpa. The leaders of the Major Economies Forum of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United States, Brazil, China, India, Mexico, South Africa, Australia, Indonesia and South Korea approved the goal hours before opening formal talks in the Italian town of L'Aquila, diplomatic sources said.
