Sheikh Abdullah Al-Saadan, Spokesman of the Ministry of Justice, said in an interview with the Saudi television today that 330 have recently been indicted of 179 terror-related cases according to the Specialized Penal Court statistics. He quoted the court as saying that, with the exception of those acquitted, the convicts received elementary penalties varying from financial fines to deprivation from travel, house stay in a city chosen by the convicted, imprisonment and killing. He made it clear that any one who should appear before justice, would be told that he had the right to appoint an advocate. He added that measures are underway to enable the media to cover court sessions.
