U.S. Investigating Reports China Blocks U.S. Poultry

The United States is concerned about industry reports that China will stop issuing import permits for chicken, the office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) said Thursday.
The USTR and the Department of Agriculture are investigating the reports, USTR spokeswoman Debbie Mesloh said.
