The President of the U.N. General Assembly scheduled a noon session Monday to discuss the situation in Honduras, following a military-led coup that ousted the sitting president. Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann called the Honduran military's intervention a "criminal action" and U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in a statement condemned the removal of "the constitutional president." Hours after President Jose Manuel Zelaya was deposed Sunday, Roberto Micheletti was sworn in, CNN reported. But the former president was not ready to give up his powers.
