Drugs seized by Palestinian police during months of West Bank raids have gone up in smoke, according to AP. Police burned the drugs in a public square on Sunday _ 120 pounds (55 kilograms) of marijuana, cocaine and heroin taken from dealers in the city of Hebron. Police put the drugs in a large container and set it on fire as bystanders watched. Officers wore paper masks as the drugs went up in smoke, sending fumes wafting through the streets. The drugs were collected over the last six months. Police said dozens of dealers were arrested. Hebron police commander Ramadan Awad said he didn't want any trace of the drugs remaining and that, in any case, the police had no place to store it.
