The Security Spokesman of the Interior Ministry has pointed out that a Saudi citizen who was misled and tempted to go to troubled areas opted for a self-initiative and surrendered himself to security authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Friday, June 19, 2009 with the assistance of his family who received a call from him wishing to help him in returning to the homeland, adding that his return was arranged and facilitated and he was reunited with his family upon arrival in the Kingdom. In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) today, the Security Spokesman said the citizen's initiative will be taken into account when considering his situation in accordance with the procedures applied in such a situation. The Spokesman renewed the call of the Ministry of Interior for all those who put themselves in suspicion to take the initiative, to surrender themselves, and to take advantage of the opportunity available to them.
