Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Majlis Al-Shura (Consultative Council) will start a visit to Turkey tomorrow in response to an invitation from the Speaker of the Turkish Ummah Council. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet with a number of senior officials. Turkish ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Naci Koru said the visits paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to Turkey in 2006 and 2007 as well as the visit of Turkish President Abdullah Gul to the Kingdom in 2008 have positively contributed to further cementing bilateral relations. He noted that the bilateral relations have developed in all domains and exchange of visits by Saudi and Turkish officials have further enhanced their relations. The ambassador believes that the visit of Al Al-Sheikh will enhance cooperation and coordination in the parliamentary sphere in a manner that serves mutual interests and activates the role of the Saudi-Turkish parliamentary friendship committees. The ambassador underlined the importance of deepening relations in the fields of economy, trade and investment as well in the cultural and social domain in view of the existing historical and religious relations between the two countries. Al Al-Sheikh will be accompanied by a high-ranking delegation.
