The 16-nation euro fell Monday against the U.S. dollar, after U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner suggested Washington was sticking with its stimulus measures for the time being. In morning European trading the euro bought $1.3888, down from $1.4010 in late trading Friday in New York. The British pound slipped to $1.6323 from $1.6450 on Friday, while the dollar rose to purchase 98.54 Japanese yen from 98.24 in New York.
