The Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi hailed the efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for its permanent standing by the side of the Pakistani people in its difficult circumstances, particularly in the massive quake disaster or humanitarian crisis posed by more than two million displaced from Suwat areas. Qureshi pointed out that the Kingdom was at the forefront of those who were responsive to the appeal of the Pakistani government to help the displaced, dispatching six cargo planes laden with 600 tons of relief and humanitarian materials. The Pakistani foreign minister also extended thanks to Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs. Qureshi made the remarks during a farewell meeting with the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Ali bin Saeed Awwad Asiri, whose tenure in Pakistan has come to an end.
