A Turkish official says there has been an explosion at a munitions factory near the Turkish capital but it has caused no deaths. Ejder Saricicek, local governor of the town of Elmadag near the capital Ankara, says the blast occurred at Roketsan, a Turkish rocket and missile maker, on Tuesday. Saricicek says no one was killed in the explosion, which happened during disposal of rocket fuel. It is not immediately clear whether anyone has been injured. Private NTV television says the blast shattered windows and caused cracks in some buildings at the factory, but there was no fire as reported earlier.
