The Secretariat General of Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the interest of President Barack Obama of the United States of America in the Muslim world, his desire for reviewing the relationship between his country and Muslims, his praise of the Islamic civilization which presented to human civilizations a lot in various areas of science, and his commending of the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for dialogue between the peoples of the world for understanding and cooperation to achieve common interests within mutual respect. In a statement issued today by the League's Secretary General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki, he explained that the call of President Obama in Cairo on Thursday for exerting joint human efforts for promotion of the required human cooperation and joint commonalities between the peoples of the world meets with the King's call for achievement of cooperation in human commonalities through dialogue to achieve coexistence, justice, peace and security. Dr. Al-Turki stressed that President Obama's call for cooperation between his country and the Muslim world in confronting common challenges such as extremism and terrorism as well as dealing with the problems that hamper development in the world, is called for by Islam, and from which the King's call for dialogue was launched.
