Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khojah, the Saudi Minister of Culture and Information arrived here last night to take part in an international conference on inter-civilization dialogue and cultural diversity to be opened later today by Tunisia's President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. Dr. Khojah will be the guest of honor. He has been invited by the Tunisian Government and The Islamic, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (IESCO) which contributed to organizing and supervising the conference. In an arrival statement to The Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Khojah said he will convey the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, the Crown prince and Saudi people to President Zine Al Abidine bin Ali and the Tunisian people. He reiterated the importance of the conference which is convened on the occasion of selecting Kairouan as an Islamic Cultural Capital 2009. The city spread of the cultural diversity to human thought as well as promoted dialogue and the values of tolerance and peace throughout its history. It is a city that has been transformed into a great cultural center, especially in the Islamic Maghreb and Africa.
