based Al-Nadwa commented on an interview of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz with the Kuwait-based al-Seyassah newspaper published yesterday and said the Kingdom has comprehensively and elaborately shed light on some economic and political topics highlighting the existing strong bonds among the GCC member states. The King has reiterated the strength of the Saudi economy and its capability of surpassing the current world economic crisis, and made it clear that the Kingdom has not been affected by the crisis at the financial arena. The daily pointed out that the Kingdom's general budget provides a clear evidence for the strength of the Saudi economy and its capability of implementing gigantic projects. "Moreover, at the political domain, the Palestinian problem is the core of the Kingdom's foreign policy, and so it will not be a strange matter when the King says he is looking for the speech due to be delivered by US President Obama from Cairo next month, which is expected to contain a peace plan in the middle east." The Kingdom is always concerned with peace and it has been always urging Washington to work for the settlement of the Arab and Muslim causes notably the Palestinian problem. On the gulf relations, King Abdullah confirmed the existing strong bonds among the Gulf States and his keenness on further cementing these bonds, the daily added.
