Fighting in northwest Pakistan has uprooted nearly 2.4 million people this month, the U.N. refugee agency said Tuesday. About 126,000 people are being forced from their homes each day, it said. Figures are still being cross-checked for accuracy, said Ron Redmond, spokesman for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees. But he called it one of the sharpest rates of displacement in recent world history, according to a report of Associated Press.
