We think this is one of the win-win options that the international community can utilize to address climate change. It is not limited to coal but to other fossil fuels as well, and we are looking for the inclusion of this technology to be eligible as part of the CDM projects. We in Saudi Arabia are designing our CCS projects and cooperating with other governments, research institute, and the industry to promote such technologies to be used on global level in order to provide sustainable fossil fuel future. Saudi Arabia is also collaborating with the oil industry worldwide to produce green fuels as an essential contribution to protect the environment".
