The Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) has stated today that the seismic activity in the Al Shaqah volcanic lava has considerably decreased since an earthquake of 3.08 degree and 6.8 km deep was detected 12 pm today. A number of tremors were recorded at less than 3 degrees on Richter's Scale. SGS has also confirmed that no volcanic vibrations were detected with temperatures at the average level considering this as a sign that the region is on its way to stability. SGS has dispatched a number of geological specialist teams to detect rifts and cracks around the center of the seismic activity. It is still monitoring any possible changes in the waveforms of registered earthquakes while concentrating more on the density of Radon gas. SPA
