Pakistan: Troops battle Taliban in main Swat town

Pakistan's army says its troops have entered the main town in the Swat Valley and are engaging
militants in street fights.
Capturing Mingora is critical to Pakistani efforts to
regain Swat from Taliban control, Associated Press reported.
Spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas also told reporters
Saturday that at least 17 militants have been killed over
the past 24 hours in the offensive.
