Leaders of South Korea and the European Union called Saturday for the early conclusion of a stalled free trade deal, though ministerial-level talks held just after their summit apparently achieved no breakthroughs, Associated Press reported. South Korean President Lee Myung-bak met with Czech President Vaclav Klaus and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso in the one-day summit, the fourth between South Korea and the EU. The Czech Republic holds the rotating EU presidency.
