NATO: Air strike kills 8 Afghan civilians

The NATO-led force says an air strike by one of its warplanes has killed eight civilians in southern
Afghanistan.
The military alliance says in a Wednesday statement the
air raid was launched following a clash with a group of 25
insurgents in Helmand province.
Associated Press quoted the statement as saying that the militants used the civilians as human shields during the Tuesday air strike.
