Iran has postponed a security meeting scheduled for Tuesday with the presidents of neighbors Afghanistan and Pakistan, ISNA news agency reported Sunday. The presidential office on Saturday had announced that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was to host his Afghan and Pakistani counterparts, Hamid Karzai and Asif Ali Zardari respectively, on Tuesday in Tehran. An informed official source told ISNA that Zardari has asked for the postponement of the meeting. The trilateral summit is still to be held in the near future, the unnamed source added.
