The 2nd National Experts Forum on Family Violence started its activities here today under the title " Latest Developments for Confronting Family Violence". The Forum was attended by Princess Adelah bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Vice President of National Family Safety Program and Minister of Justice Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa. Addressing the Forum, Princess Adelah expressed her gratitude to Princess Saitah bint Abdulaziz, the Program's President for her continual support for the Program. She said the Forum aims at shedding light on latest application of mechanisms to combat family violence and to follow up activation of the recommendations of the 1st Forum in May, 2008. In an address on the occasion, the Minister of Justice said the family violence phenomenon necessitates concerted efforts by all, noting that the Forum reflects the importance of the problem of family violence in the society.
