Norway assures Germany over energy supplies

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said
Tuesday on a visit to Berlin that European nations could count on oil
and gas-rich Norway as a reliable supplier of energy, according to dpa.
He spoke after talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel on climate
change and energy issues. German business interests have invested
heavily in Norway's oil and gas industries, with Norwegian gas seen
by some as a closer and more reliable resource than Russian gas.
