Under the patronage of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Affairs, the Institute of Diplomatic Studies, today held a two-day symposium under the title "Europe and Gulf Region: Towards new Horizons". Addressing the gathering which includes government officials, diplomats, academics, businessmen and media representatives, the Director General of the institute Dr. Saad Al-Ammar said the event builds on the principle of dialogue which was initiated and encouraged by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as a base for work in all specialized studies centers affiliated to the institute. For his part, Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors for King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, said the relations between Europe and the Gulf region should be promoted to a strategic partnership level.
