Secretary General of the chamber of commerce and industry of the eastern region Adnan al-Naeem has reiterated the available opportunities for implementing more joint projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He noted that there are more than 120 joint Saudi-German companies in the country with an invested capital of more than SR 13.4 billion. The remarks were made here yesterday at a meeting attended by a number of Saudi and German businessmen. He noted that the eastern region constitutes a suitable environment for foreign investments and implementing joint projects notably for the German companies which have earned a good reputation at the Saudi markets. On his part, Dr Thomas Bach, the head of the delegation of the Arab-German chamber of commerce and industry, said the Arab-German forum due to be held in Berlin next June will provide a good opportunity to the Saudi and German businessmen to popularize their products. He said the Kingdom can market petrochemicals and food materials in the German markets. Trade exchange between the Kingdom and Germany amounted last year to about 6.4 billion Euro.
