Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Minister of Education Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saud inaugurated here today "Advanced Technologies Forum (ATF)2009" organized by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. The inaugural ceremony was attended by the City's President Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel and Prince Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed Al Saud, the City's Vice President for Research Institutes. In an augural speech, the Minister of Education said that the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier has made it possible to achieve concrete and significant steps in the project of building knowledge-based society and industries. Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saud cited some of the successful projects in this regard including the establishment of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology; strong support for the sector of technical, vocational and technological education; the project of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for development of general education; and an electronic government project. --MORE
