Tunis International Book Fair will be opened here on Friday with the participation of 34 countries including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As many as 15 governmental authorities will participate in the Kingdom's pavilion. The 10-day show's organizing committee has named al-Quds as the Guest of Honor in its capacity as the capital of the Arab culture for 2009. On the fringes the book fair, an exhibition will be organized to highlight the heritage of Al-Quds and a special pavilion will be allocated for the Palestinian publishing houses. On the fringes of the Book Show, seminars will also be organized on the electronic book in the world, theater art, and Arabian novels in the 21st century in addition to poetry nights and activities for children.
