The number of Saudi investment projects in Yemen implemented during the period from 2006 to 2008 reached 32 with an investment cost exceeded $1,059,078,865 with fixed assets amounted to $ 523,256,660. The Saudi investment projects were in the field of industry, medicine, agriculture and tourism. These projects provided 3484 jobs in Sana'a, Aden, Hodeidah, Hadramout and Abyan. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Saudi Commercial Attaché in Sana'a Hamad Al-Tuaimi said that the volume of Saudi investments in Yemen is a clear indication of the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
