Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohamamd Al Saud, the Minister of Education, said that Prince Naif International Prize for the Prophet's Sunnah (Tradition) and Contemporary Islamic Studies is part of the kingdom's service of the Two Holy Mosques, the Holy Quran and the Noble Prophet's Sunnah. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency on the occasion of holding the fourth session of the prize, Prince Faisal said that the prize will help propagate the noble meanings of the Prophet's Sunnah and Contemporary Islamic Studies. Deputy Minister of Education Faisal bin Moa'mmar made a similar statement on the occasion highlighting the importance of the prize.
