Faisal, the Foreign Minister, expressed hope that this meeting will complete what was raised and dealt with in previous meetings regarding the fields of economic, trade and cultural cooperation, adding that this meeting provides an excellent opportunity to exchange views on international and regional political issues of common interest. Prince Saud recalled the historical ties and common interests between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom which are embodied in the progress and development of the current relations between the two countries in various fields. "The real guarantee of the durability of relations between the two Kingdoms is the active participation of the two countries' youth who are painting the future by their confident steps and mutual openness. In this context, I look forward to the inauguration of the Youth Training Program today and I hope that this program will contribute to preparing the Saudi and British youth to a future cooperation where the private sector is its a base", Prince Saud said. Prince Saud referred to the G20 Summit which was held last Thursday in London and discussed ways of getting out of the severe financial crisis that engulfed the whole world. Prince Saud praised the successful efforts exerted by Queen Elizabeth II, British Prime Minister and British Government to successfully prepare and organize this summit. "Currently, it may be difficult to predict the magnitude of the effects of decisions made by the summit. However, the unprecedented volume of the incentive program as well as the summit's decision to establish a council for the stability of the global financial are clear indicators towards restoring confidence, stimulating growth and reforming the international financial system in order to achieve stability, prosperity and development which are objectives of all of our countries", Prince Saud added. "We consider that the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to continue financing and implementing its ambitious national development program is an effective contribution to stimulating the global economy. There is no doubt that the British companies are invited to seize the opportunities provided by this huge program. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considering the available options to contribute to the global economy reform programs". Prince Saud said. Prince Saud said that the Kingdom is looking forward to the presentation which will be presented later on the recommendations and proposals reached by the workshop held yesterday in the sidelines of the meeting on ways to overcome the negative impacts of the financial crisis.
