The paper pointed out that the stand of Washington towards the initiative under the new administration led by Barrack Obama has given an impetus to the initiative. The paper noted that the US embassy in London distributed the statement issued by the White House in which it has voiced support to the initiative during the presence of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in London to participate in Group-20 summit. "It is high time for the US administration to move seriously towards the initiative for putting an end to the dispute and blood shedding". Obama has demonstrated a special respect for the role of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in the region and in the world, said the daily. "Will the US and the European countries remain incapable of persuading the Israeli Premier to the fact that the world has changed". The paper expressed sorrow over the continuation of the Palestinian disunity and said continuation of this disunity will not help in reaching a settlement.
