President of the Kingdom's General Auditing Bureau Osama Faqih presented a working paper on the Bureau's role in developing the performance of the state's departments in Saudi Arabia, at the second Arab-European forum for the organs of the financial surveillance and accountancy, which will conclude its three-day works later today in the French capital. Faqih, who delivered his working paper on behalf of the Arab Group, said the auditing bureaus are capable of playing an influential role as regards fighting corruption and fraud. He noted that the Kingdom is a member of the board of directors of the Arab Group and the Asian group as well as the International Group for auditing and accountancy, which includes all 190 member states of the United Nations. "We are proud of the good reputation earned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this respect," he said. Faqih is the current Vice-Chairman of the International Organization for Auditing and Accountancy.
