NATO says it will resume anti-piracy patrols off the coastline of Somalia this month, AP reported. An alliance statement says a five-ship flotilla will carry out operations there as it sails for a tour of Southeast Asia, where it will make a number of port calls. The squadron will return in June, when at least some of its warships are expected to remain in the pirate-infested waters of the Gulf of Aden. NATO's initial anti-piracy mission operated in the region for about two months at the end of last year before it was replaced by a European Union flotilla.
